4.1 Fruits Are Medicine
Fruit is the cornerstone of Dr. Morse's dietary approach. Fruits are:
- Astringent — they pull lymphatic waste out of cells and tissues
- Alkaline-forming — they neutralise cellular acid waste
- Hydrating — they are water-rich, supporting every bodily function
- Simple-sugar based — fructose requires no digestion and goes directly to cells as energy
- Electrically alive — raw fruits carry the electromagnetic energy of sunlight
TIP: The sweeter and juicier the fruit, the more powerfully astringent and cleansing it is. Grapes, watermelon, and mangoes are among the most powerful healing fruits.
4.2 Protein Misconceptions
One of Dr. Morse's most important teachings concerns protein. The belief that humans need large quantities of animal protein is, in his view, a fundamental error that drives chronic disease.
- The human body runs primarily on simple sugars (glucose and fructose), not protein
- Excess protein creates uric acid and nitrogenous wastes that the lymphatic system must process
- The strongest animals on Earth — gorillas, elephants, horses — are almost entirely fruit and plant eaters
- Amino acids (the building blocks of protein) are found abundantly in fruits and vegetables
4.3 What to Avoid
Foods to Eliminate
- All animal products — meat, fish, dairy, eggs
- All cooked and processed foods
- Grains, legumes, and starches
- Refined sugars, alcohol, and caffeine
- All pharmaceutical drugs (work with your practitioner on this)
Foods to Reduce Initially
- Pineapple and citrus (too acidic for the early stages of detox)
- Bitter fruits and vegetables
- Nuts and seeds (acceptable in small amounts if transitioning off cooked food)
IMPORTANT: Do not stop prescribed medications abruptly without medical supervision. Work with a knowledgeable practitioner to reduce medications safely as your health improves.
